Default Battery dash light pulsing

The battery and park brake lights on dash have started to flash on and off...and the revs on tickover are pulsing in time with the dash lights

Have checked fuses and battery connections/earths etc..could it be the alternator packed up???

Any help appreciated

Sounds like it could be the alternator. Does it get worse if you increse the electrical load (eg, put headlights and rear screen demist on)?

If it is your alternator, expect your battery to be flat very soon!

There seems to be no change when turning on lights/demist etc....although it has started to get a bit sluggish on turning/starting the engine..

Alternator / regulator mate. Dont drive to far from home as you are likely to be stranded very shortly as the alternator will not be properly charging the battery.

I had this on mine a few months back. After checking everything and changing the alternator found out it was the main earth lead to the engine block had rubbed through and was causing a short. You want to have a look there first. If you do need an alternator give us a PM i have one here which has been checked out and is fine.
