Turbocharged petrol engines
Impressive gains of up to 25% more power and torque can be achieved. Driving pleasure is increased through less gear changing and you will feel that your car is more lively and responsive. We do this by increasing the manufacturer's boost limit and, with the reprogrammed ECU matching the car's ignition timing and fuelling, long term reliability of the engine is retained.

They also quote 40BHP+

Above quote from a website advert. So what's the downside?

Does anyone have one? How safe are they? Who has/ hasn't blown up with one of these?

Alan

Question

If you name the company involved you might get a better response . Some people get that sort of increase from an exhaust alone .

Big bear,
Powerchips is the brand name of the chip, as stated on the thread topic.

Chris,

Sorry I mis-understtod the title , I have never heard of them . Is the chip a general one or is it customised to your car ? What is the web address?
