Default Is this normal when you try to reset your ecu?

hi

to anyone who has reseted there ecu im wondering if this normal,

i have attempted to reset the ecu as i have got a problem with the engine, i have plugged the 2 green connectors in and also the black, when i turn the ingition (not turning over) there is;

a buzzing from the relays inside the car and also inside the engine bay
the fan keeps on going on and off (seconds each time)
and the fuel pump goes on and off (seconds each time)

im thinking that the ecu is testing all of the things ive listed
am i right or wrong

thanks
chris

indeed mate, it confused me too, just go for the drive, and after a few mins the CEL will start to flash indicating the reset has been a success!
