Its fairly easy.

From memory (as the car is out at the mo) use a syringe to draw off the fluid. Un-screw the bolts at the top. disconnect the top and bottom hoses. Off she comes.

Re-fit is the reverse

No probs - The car's back now. There is only the one hose as the resevoir sits on an opening which is sealed with an 'o' ring. I had to replace my hose as it was leaking and found a rubber petrol hose works fine.

You will need quite a big jar by the way as you will be surprised how much fliuid is in the resevoir.

I was quite lucky as most of it had leaked out!!!

Got it all apart....and Subaru have given me the wrong size 'o' ring. I need a 20mm and i have been given a 13mm. And they can't get the 20mm one till next week!!!!

Right, managed to get a 20mm one which fits in groove on top of the pump, but does the smaller (13mm) 'o' ring need to go on the bottom of the reservoir where it slots into the pump?

Had the same problem & Subaru dealer sold me the 2 different sizes. Still can't figure out where the smaller one goes.

Doesn't leak anymore tho - just made sure i used loads of threebond to seal it all up nicely.
