Hello i have a sti type-r and recently it statd chapn its head off!! I believe its possibly the big end bearings? But since then i have spoken to people and told them wat hapnd and they say it could of been a bit of the turbo broke up and sooked into engine.What actually hapnd was i was giving car a bit of thrashn then bout 20 miles later i was driving at 60mph and there was no boost the turbo wouldnt kick in,5miles later i heard this really loud knocking and its sat in my garage ever since.Wat do use suggest???

 

 

Sounds like your bottom-end may have had it. If it's a loud "tap/knock" which rises and gets faster with the revs, you'll need a bottom end rebuild. This is more likely than part of your turbo entering the engine.

Start it up to see if it's knocking, and if it is, turn it off and look at your options for getting it rebuilt. Trying to drive it anywhere will cause more damage and cost you more money.
