Buy a good quality manifold from someone like Roger Clark Motorsport, Zen Performance or Lateral Performance etc with sliding joints and a 3 bolt up pipe. Stay clear of Ebay and cheap copies they're not worth the money as I found out to my cost.

Equal length may give you a small increase in power/torque (although thats arguable) but you will loose the distinctive sound with them.
Unless you are going for stupid BHP, i think its a shame to loose the burble. There are many 500 BHP plus cars with un-equal length on around.
Whats more important is you get quality items, not cheap e-bay pap that falls to bits in a few weeks.

As has been said above, stay away from cheap stuff. Quality counts with items as important as this.
Here's a nice set of Tomei headers

I got mine from Lateral Performance for about £400 and they're worth every penny. The quality compared to the ebay stuff is amazing. Just ring round and see if you can get a good deal. Also worth wrapping them if your gonna do it. Stay with the un-equal length and enjoy the classic burble.
