Default cambelt tensioner

simple one really, to get at the cambelt tensioner, do i need to remove the 2 belts infront of it first or can the cover be slidden off sideways when the bolts are removed. I think mines either knackered or on the way out as when the car is cold the belt slaps until the thing warms up and then the tensioner frees up, so I kinda need a peep at it first

Cheers peeps

The drive belts have to come off, along with the front pulley, left and right outer cambelt covers and the center cambelt cover.
