Default MISFIRE!....HELP! (again)

I have reada lot of threads here regarding this problem...

unfortunatly i have no idea where my coil packs are or if thats the problem.

went to check the plugs but there the type that has a bolt holding each one in and i was loosing the light!....

please letme know where to locate the coil packs and the maf.

i was surprised as my plug leads have only 2 small wires coming from each plug butmu mates has some nice think leads going to each of his?

any help would be apreciated.

This started happening after gunning it off the lights.... after that the misfire appeared.

car seems to run fine and still boost but it just aint the same as it was before.

Thanks guys/gals

By the sound of it you have a early classic.

the coil packs are pushed onto the plugs and fixed by one bolt through each. undo the bolts, unclip the wires and bingo. you will need to remove the air box, windscreen washer bottle and battery for good access.

check all the air hoses and breathers first if this has just suddenly started happening.

remove coil packs, obviously 1 at a time. make sure when u remove them you pull them out straight and not on an angle not to cause any damage. remove the rubber boot on the end and inspect for any minor hairline cracks. you can do a repair on these to keep u going for a while. put a pencil in the end of the coil pack and gently open up the cracks. put a little super glue in the crack. then paint clear nail varnish around the outside where the rubber boot goes and push the boot straight back over the wet nail varnish. leave them for about 20 minuts to go hard and stick them back on the car. but remember to push them back on dead straight not to damage them.
a scooby mechanic told me this and so far mine have held out for 6 monthes.

well i have had the coild packs off....

i have even swapped them around to see if i have a faulty one.

passenger side rear cylinder if the one missing...

as a test i took of each individual injector connector and all 3 other cylinders when i take the connector off the engine goes lumpy. but not on the pass rear.

i also took the could pack from one of the other cylinders and exchanged it with the one a pass rear. still no difference.

the only thing i can see different on this perticular cylinder is the injector has been put back in by billy the bodge man. there is on all other cylinders 2 bolts holding a top cover with a rubber gromit in.

on this cylinder the top cover had been broken, there is no rubber boot, and its held in bu only 1 bolt as the rest of the cover is broken off.

see pic for what i mean.
