The WRX type R v-limited has the WRX drivetrain fitted to the 2 door shell.
So, no DCCD, no red top engine, although the WRX was 276bhp by 1998 anyway.
Not so sure about the gear ratios, I believe they are identical to the STi.

Just to clarify, I'm referring to the WRX type RA V-Limited 2 door coupe, as opposed to the WRX STi Type R. These are two different cars.
Just to confuse things further, many people (including subaru on occasion!!!) referred to the WRX type RA v-limited 2 door (which was badged "type RA") as the WRX type R v-limited... confusing...
If it is a 98 model, the WRX type RA 2 door will have chassis code GC8E27D, it was delivered originally with a silver top engine, and no dccd. (At least, I've seen two of these cars now, and they both had silver top motors). I've never seen the 99 model (GC8F27D) and have no idea what options this had fitted.
People often confuse the STi type R and the WRX type RA / type R 2 door coupe. They are different beasts!
