Hi i have 1995 sti type ra whitch ive had for a few month now and i carnt get enough of it i have drove a few quick cars in my time but this car is truly amazin i had a gtir before whitch i loved and thought it was quick but nothing like the RA there is one small problem with it and i need some advice the car starts fine from cold but if i run it of 15 to 30 minutes then stop and try to start it again 30 minutes later it really poor at starting let it fully cool down and it starts fine any idea ive been told it could be the plugs is that true ?any help would be really apperiated gav

Sounds like the normal Crank sensor problem, is it a case that it will not start at all until cooled down?
It's located under the alternator, try removing it and giving it a clean, some report it improves things for a short while.

WELL IT WILL START EVENUALTLEY BUT WHEN ITS TURNING OVER IT DOESNT EVEN TRY TO FIRE UP IF I TURN THE IGNITION ON THEN PRESS THE ACCELATOR AND LET IT UP IT AND THEN TRY TO START IT SOME TIME HELPS (WELL IT AS ONCE OR TWICE ) IF I KEEP TRYING IT WILL EVENUALTLEY START BUT SEEM TO START UP STRAIGHT AWAY ONCE COOLED DOWN OR FROM COLD AND RUNS FINE NO PROBLEMS AT ALL JUST DOESNT LIKE TO START ONCE ITS BEEN RUNNING AWHILE

yup, defo the crank sensor, same on mine and many others, try cleaning it, basically the coil becomes weak over time, when they are warm the signal created is too weak for the ecu to read.
do you get cell light on if cranking for a long time, if so check stored faults but i'm 99% sure it's the sensor
