Question What am i missing? (Turbo)

My TD05 has arrived, beside using a rotated housing to convert it to front entry can any one advise me what pipe work I’m missing to be able to replace my TD04 and drop it straight in.

Cheers

Ah, wasn't sure if i needed water / oil pipes as it's something i've seen come up when i've looked at TD05's before. Are the gaskets subaru dealer only or can they be had from general motorfactors?

Cheers

You'll most likely be able to get away with re-using the original gaskets although it's nice to have some new ones handy just in case the originals don't clean up well enough. I've always bought mine from Subaru.

Cheers Carl

Can someone give me a definate yes on the hoses situation? Will it use all the existing hoses that are attached to my td04 but... It's further complicated that the vacuum type hose that connects between either side of my existing turbo that's T'd of to boost solenoid broke on me the other day. I've fixed standard hoses there for now but the net result is because the hose hasn't got the restrictor in it i'm only get half boost (thumbs up to Alyn @ AS and Simon aka JGM for helping discover that one). At the mapping i'm having fitted a 3 port b.solenoid some believe that the restrictor becomes redudant anyway so i'm not replacing it at this point.

Cheers.

What hoses situation? Coolant supply/return lines are there, the oil return line is there and you even have the oil supply line. Bolt off... bolt on!

As far as the 3 port goes...

Ah, what i meant was during my fpr adaptor install (very nice btw) i managed to break the T piece in the vac pipe on the turbo. I've replaced as per the picture with standard (petrol) hoses + T piece, as i understand it the OE hose / T piece has a air restrictor in it and currently i'm only boosting to 0.5 bar due to this. My concern was would i need the original OE hose / T piece or is this academic due to fitting a new turbo + 3 port b.solenoid. I know i probably keep labouring the point and i'm asking numpty questions but i wanted to make sure everything is spot on as it needs to be before the mapping session due to costs, time off work and everything else that goes with it.

You piccy helps clear it all up
