Hello all.... just signed up. I'm new to Scooby ownership too, so here goes:

I've decided (almost ) to go for a Hayward & Scott downpipe-back system which consists of 2nd decat downpipe, straight through centre and Jap rear box. Around £450 fitted.

Good choice?.... or better available?.... Most importantly, I want as much of the burble back?

Alternatively should I replace the 2nd cat with a prodrive Sports cat with the rest H & S?

Future mods will probably be remap only (290-300bhp ish).

I looked into changing the exhaust on a MY06 and was advised that I would need a remap at the same time, as it wouldn't run properly without.

Just a thought, but, are you not concerned about warranty??

Hmmm..... I think I may need to do a bit more research. I thought a remap was only required if replacing the whole lot from the turbo back.

Warranty wise..... I have a very good relationship with my local dealer!!

ive changed my06 exhaust for a miltek system from powerstation
sounds great and got burble back too not to loud either but i had to have it mapped as well but well worth it

 

Thanks shadower...... I can't afford the remap as well just yet so perhaps I'll just replace the rear box and centre pipe and go for the decat and remap together at a later date. Is yours the £1350 package that powerstation do and is your Milltek from turbo back with the sports cats?
