Default wuh wuh wuh wuh noise

I guess this is aimed at STi7 owners

This is doing my head in!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting a wuh wuh wuh wuh, wobbly wheel bearing type noise from the back of the car.
Thought I had cured it by replacing rear wheel bearings but it has come back after only a few months.

It's hard to tell for sure but I think the noise came back shortly after having fitted coil-overs.

Could this be a body-work resonating problem?

The car had a new rear diff just over a year ago.

Anyone else have or had this problem?

Assuming you replaced the correct wheel bearing, it could be a high point on the disc & the pads rubbing over it !!!

Have you checked the diff oil level ? No visible leaks ? Same with the Gearbox ??

wuhwuh noise is definitely a wheel bearing. I had one go just out of warranty on 03STi, knackered the hub as well, could you have a damaged hub.

Big problem with wheel bearings, if the new one is not seated absolutely spot-on when it's pressed in, it'll go very quickly. Correct torque is also essential.

Well I've already replaced the front hubs but rears were ok when I got the bearings done.

Fingers crossed the rear hubs are ok.

I reckon my car was built on a monday morning.

This may be what's happened. Garage has stated they will replace them. Here's hoping they're ok. I love my car but it's getting a bit tedious the amount of work thats had to be done keeping on the road never mind any mods.

Cheers

Jim
