Thumbs up

I think it is only the seals that have gone so won't be replacing any impeller parts etc. that would affect the balance so was going to give it a go. Can get the parts esily but wondered if there were any guides out there that would point out any pitfalls etc. Cheers, Neil

TD04's go very cheaply on ebay, so I'd consider just replacing the whole turbo myself.

Thumbs up Prefer to strip it myself I think!

Thanks for the offer and I don't mean to offend, but I already have mine off the car and if I was to spend £50 on the parts to replace the seals and a couple of hours of my time to do it, I would know the condition was A1 and would last for many miles! Even ones that have come off gently driven, always cooled down, turbo timer equipped cars, the condition is a bit of an unknown and could mean another strip down fairly soon. Having taken 3 hours or so to strip it down and shearing a turbo stud I am in no hurry to repeat.
Thanks, Neil
