Comparison of MD321H turbo characteristics compared to VF35
I have an MY03 (blobeye) STI with uprated exhaust, headers, FMIC, Bob Rawle remap etc. Anyone here switched directly from a VF35 (ie standard) to an MD321H turbo?? I'm just wondering how much loss of spool up/gain in top end power there would be and how this would affect the overall driving characteristics? Any feedback appreciated!

Lunar,
Here's a graph comparing a P1 re-mapped by Bob with the standard VF28, and then the same car re-mapped with the MD321H.
The same car made 408bhp/384ftlbs at the P1 rolling road day on Saturday, at DS Autos, who have a Dyno Dynamics dyno.
The car has standard internals, and runs circa 1.4bar, but please email Bob to confirm this, and get his opinion of the turbo.
Mark.

I wouldent have thought so, if a turbo can only shift X amount of air at any given time then runs out of puff then thats as far as it will go even with advances in mapping, thats how I see it anyway but I'm often wrong.
