Please can some one tell me if this DV is any good and also what is the thick blue pipe for under it
I want to fit a boost gauge can i plumb it into the thin blue pipe as both the holes on the engine have pipes on. second pic or is there a better place

Its a baileys of some sort, The thick blue pipe is probably being used to block of the o/e re-circ pipe so leave well alone,And yes its fine to Tee into the smaller one for a boost gauge.
