Default 2.5 crank same as 2.0

hi can anyone tell me is the crank in a 2.5 sti short motor the sams as in a 2.0 2000 my i,e will a 2000my impreza turbo crank go in a 2.5 sti short motor thanks

No they are have a different stroke, although you can have the 2.5 crank fitted in the 2ltr block this will give a final displacement of around 2.1 but not the other way round.

Un-ink, if building a 2.1 with 2.5 crank do the rods and pistons stay the same length as a standard 2.0?

No, if you use the 2.5lt crank you need stroker pistons, and rods.
