Piston rings JDM STi same as UK Turbo?

Piston rings JDM STi same as UK Turbo?
As in the title, are STi 99 version 5 rings same as nornal UK Turbo rings, every where I see listed do not specifiy any differences in models...( STi, uk 2000 , WRX etc ) Just years... 1997-2001
Can anyone shine any light on this?

Are you not going to have the bock honed to remove the scores? If so I would expect you would have oversize pistons fitted along with rings that would be supplied with these and be specific.
You can get oversize pistons of the shelf for around 400 maybe less.

No I should be able to get away with just a hone .. the scoring is mininal can barely see it but new rings and a simple hone to be sure... Upon further inspection I have a feeling the stem seals were to blame. plus the oil level was reading a few mm's past max so could have induced the smoking thro the seals.
