Hi guys,
went with a mate yesterday and bought a '94 wrx, car went very well on test drive (quiet and smooth).

when we got the car home we took it for a bit of a thrash down the road, car was going really well, pulled over to turn around at a junction for another run and then noticed a shed load of white smoke coming out the exhaust but the car seemed to be running smooth and quiet,
so we drove dead slow back home (not far at all) and turned engine off and tried it again a few minutes later and the engine wouldn't even spin over (sounded like engine seized)

so we then put a spanner on crank and the engine seemed to turn over ok

tried again and it started fine but with lots of white smoke out exhaust and a bit coming from turbo area - the coolent was now pretty much empty!!!

does this sound like a head gasket?
or hopefully just the turbo?

all info is greatly appreciated!

ooh just heard oil is whitish/sludgy!

guessing head gasket! - ok what needed to fix??????

just gaskets and head skim?
