Default toyo tyres..

hey all, what is the main difference between the toyo t1 r and the ti s?
looking at buying new wheels and not sure which one to go for, i do some enthusiastic driving and travel out to the ring 2 or 3 times a year, what are peoples preferences or experience with either one.
alsocan you get 235/40/18 on a my03 wrx (blobeye) or should i stick with 225/40/18.
cheers, shawn

Hi There,

I've got T1S on my RA track car, blob on, so sticky with a reasonable wear rate, although not on track.

Basically the difference, as it was put to me, is the T1R is the replacement for the T1S. So same as, more or less but you should get the S a bit cheaper.

If your mad you should get the R888's but you'll be snapping Diffs.

T1S are bit softer and not so good in the wet, T1R wear a bit better and are good both in dry and wet. Used to have T1s, but am now unning T1R and prefer them quite a bit

i wouldn't go for toyo's as they only last about six months, ive found that falcon tyres are better.
