im a newbie to this site and to my new 04 wrx sti uk car btw i pick up on saturday.my question is.is it worth putting on a induction kit like the k & n typoon and maybe a dump valve coming from the respect of performance but also my wife will be driving it so i dont want it to be over the top e.g sound
any help

I wouldn't think you'd see any increase in BHP. You would deffo see an increase in noise though. How much noise? Well that depend on how the car is driven, dunt it? High thottle/revs, loud PSSSHHH etc etc.

I don't think it would be over the top as the OE dump valve makes a noise too.

BTW Welcome.

 

Changing the standard dump valve for a VTA won't affect your performance but it may make the car jerky coming off throttle
