Engine Trouble
Hi, Im new to this site but Im loving it Ive recently brought a classic import and found a slight oil leak the other day, I popped it into a garage who said it looks like its comming from the oil pump at the front of the engine which means the engine has to come out to fix ?? Alot of money , can anyone help with any ideas or garages that might be able to help at a reasonable price ? Thanks in advance .

Hello Snowy78 - welcome to Scoobynet mate,
Most likely to be the Front Crank oil seal which is mounted on the front
of oil pump.
Can be done with the engine in the car,but the Cam belt has to come off.
Good time to check the Cam belt, idlers and tensioner - replace if any doubt.
If the budget can streach to it - might be worth replacing the oil pump for a
High Pressure one while your at it
