Changing fuel pump on newage wagon?
I had a problem with the engine losing power and cutting out completely whilst driving down the motorway, it would turn over but wouldnt start and I couldnt hear the fuel priming so Ive got a new one its the second time it has done this but my local dealer couldnt find any problem with itthe first time around but it has gone again, but how to fit and where is it located in the boot area or under the back seat, I have heard somewhere that on a wagon its under the back seat, and some say its in the boot, anybody can tell me where exactly before I start tearing my car apart.
I have a 2002 WRX Wagon PPP, just incase that info is needed.
Cheers in advance for any help.

Russ,
It's an easy job to do. More than happy to give you a hand if you need?
Blue Dragoon has a good step by step guide with pics that i used when changing mine.
The seats need to come out to gain acess to the hatch as the pump is situated exactly half way between both!!

Cheers for that, I picked up a fuel pump off Richie early this morning, so Im going to have a blast tonight as soon as I finish work, I wasnt too sure where exactly the hatch was so to speak, I think Ian in still in Scotland not sure when he's back. Its a pain being without the car, its only normally used on weekends but just come back from a weekend away and was hoping to go shopping for food but the Mrs has had to get it delivered instead . I know the offer for help is there I will be having a go tonight if you want to pop over you can, but I dont want to be putting people out by saying Im doing it now when they might not be able to do it then, if you know what I mean. If you can fab if you cant please dont worry Im greatful for the offer.
Cheers
