Default black sparkplugs

hi all
i just changed my spark plugs on my 96 wrx ,my old ones are looking a bit black does this mean problems ,i have a scooby ecu fully decatted , up pipe, dawes device set at 1 bar and just changed my slanty intercooler for a 99 sti 1

i'd worry if they were white/light in colour, black means its running rich iirc, which is good/better if anything

black tips means it is running rich.. check there is no intercooler pipe leak but I would suspect the lambda sensor is shot.

well iv have been getting this induction noise since putting the larger intercooler on but thought it was just the samco hoses making the k & n panel filter noiser ,ive got a afr meter installed and it reads as it should ie rich when i boot it ,cruise it bounces around in optimum , would a shot lambda still make these readings ill check the hoses for leaks though

cool, i got it right. I'm quite happy with that now, black is rich yippee........ i need to get out more
