Refrigerate a Top Mount???
With the current hot weather I was just wondering if this is in anyway possible - not sure how it could be done. I've noticed the effects of heat soak when you have to stop for any time. Obviously a front mount or charge cooler would give lower temps. Just wondering if anyone has tried something like this. Could it somehow be cooled using the aircon system? I know its a daft question just a bit bored.

Technically yes. Thats what a water spray does anyway - evaporative cooling. A proper refrigeration system would need power and another rad on the front of the car plus some sort of hybrid TMIC. Whether the weight, complication, and refrigeration power requirement would offset any gain I don't know. Very cold air would increase charge density, using Boyles law you could get twice as much air into the engine for the same boost if the temperature was about minus 120 degC. Might be some issues with fuel vaporisation (solidification?) and flame stability just for starters.

what about putting dry ice on the tmic.. all you need to do is to fabricate a cover out of mesh to stop the dry ice from droping out... i seen that done on drag car... it cools the air within the intercooler...

You can get a nitrous oxide kit for cooling the intercooler. Its just a squiggly shaped piece of copper tubing, with various holes, and nitrous running through it. I believe the company NOS do one, called an N-tercooler or something along those lines.

Yeah I was thinking some sort of fan system could work and would take very little power to run. Damned global warming where is the cold weather when you want it!

Saying this, the STI 8 TM and scoop/undertray on my wrx cools ACT back to +2c to 3c ambient within 30 seconds of >30mph after heat soaking up to >40c and ambient very soon after.
Could be useful on the strip though (but if you're that serious you'd probably go FMIC anyhow..?).
