dump valve?
apart from the sound is there any advantage for fitting a dump valve? brother in-law got an evo he was told not to get one fitted, best using air again keep turbo spinning if its dumped into the atmos turbo slows abit! so if this is the case whats the point of dump valve? so we can all sound like cossies? i would like one for the sound if im honest but dont want to lose anything for it cheers

Feel the difference how exactly...
You already have a recirculating dump valve which, assuming it's ok, works well.
Here's a pretty good thread with some interesting points. Scroll down to post #19 by Andy F

I fitted a DV to my 05 WRX which I can open or close manually. So it has the option of being fully recirculating (v quiet ) or varying degree's of open (and increases in Psssshhhttt noise ). I have to say in the two months I've had it I've never switched it off other than on the track (was advised to).
The DV I have is a GFB item.
Hope that helps.
