Post Gearbox options?

Since my gearbox has given up the ghost today, I'm gonna need a new one.

I think it's stripped 2nd gear, since that was rattling it's nuts off.

Whats stronger than a standard MY94 gear box?

A friend suggested an STI5 box and my diffs

What other hopefully, sensibly priced options do I have?

Little video clip, in neutral and bringing my foot off the clutch.

Anyone?

Dropped a PM to both Alyn at AS Performance and David at API, also Graham/911.

Would like to know what people have replaced their fubar'd gearboxes with.

Ideally something stronger, but still 5 speed.

my understanding is that the lower the ratio, the less load/strain you put on the box

I've sent you a pm back, but the first 2 are experts.

A V5 or later Sti box, non dccd with 4:444 diffs is a nice strong combination but hard to find under £1000 for box and diff fitted.

Graham.
