Question sti 4 intercooler onto 95 wrx

Has anyone done the above mod? I've done a search but I couldn't find if anyone had done it and how they'd mounted it I've already got the intercooler but I haven't got the mounts or brackets and wondered if there are bolt holes you can use on the 95 engine for the intercooler?

Any help or pictures would be appreciated

Thanks

You can use the RH side original brackets that on the inlet manifold & make a additonal bracket to support the tmic.

The one on the left on mine rest on the underneath of the tmic.
Or you could remove it & use the long bar bracket that bolts to the side of the gearbox & make another bracket.

I am not using any brackets on mine as the tmic is pretty tight fit, mind you its only temporary for me as I am going fmic route soon.

Thanks for the reply Are you using the same intercooler? Were there any other mods needed to get it to fit?

Thanks

I cut the elbow off from the tmic & had a ally square plate tig welded around the hole. So now the front face the the tmic is flat. This helps so that the tmic can fit more closer to the iscv, were as before it would just be in the way.

The other mod was to remove the lip of the throttle body & tmic. I then trail fitted the tmic without the hose to see how much more I needed to cut off. I cut more off the throttle body than the tmic.

I also cut a slot down the side of the tb. The same thickness as the samco hose. That way I could slide the samco hose further onto the tb.

I used the v1/v2 samco hose kit. Using this kit helped me retain the orignal dump valve & its position.

Getting the main larger hose on is a bit tricky.

Some othera have bashed/hammered the gearbox support bracket which is part of the rear bulkhead.
I never bothered with that as my tmic only hits the bulkhead if I get the dreaded clutch judder. I normally control that with slighty more revs when pulling off.

Sounds like an **** to fit then Maybe I should have gone straight for the front mount for her then

I had no idea so much work was needed and I thought this would be easy

Thanks
