Exclamation 6k ecu /and over boosting on z4 ecu

hi guys
just got hold of a 6k ecu.it has a melted pin leading down to the mother board ..can it be fixed ??.what fuel would u use with it ? i under stand its the 276bhp ecu
out of a sti v2? is this right? ive got a hks filter and decatted exhaust..what sort of bhp would i be looking at??.also at the moment ive a problem with boost..boost gauge gos up to about 12-13psi then it seems to drop the revs to 0 and judder ..is this fuel cut?? at the moment ive a z4 ecu running on 97 ron. ive adjusted the actuator arm right out as far as it will go .i can move actuator in and out .up and down easily with my fingers ??is this right.. or is it knackered?
could this be the problem. thanks for ur help

actuator should be tight i.e you need to tug it slightly to fit it over the pin on the wastegate/turbo. not a tug with both hands, just a small one if you get what I mean.

the 6K is from an STi 2 and is the same map as used in UK cars for the Prodrive upgrade.
It peaks at 13.64psi and is rated at 250BHP for UK cars and 275PS for the STi (about 270BHP).

Isn't the Z4 a similar map to the 6K anyway, don't know if you would be getting any gains by swapping ecu's ??

Similar fuel/ignition but different boost/duty. 13.64psi peak Vs 12.7psi peak.

So which ecu would be best for a WRX?? I was thinking of putting a 6K in my 94 WRX, but decided to go for the Z4. Have i made the right choice??

Z4 is the most common upgrade and was thought to be what the UK Prodrive map was developed from due to there being very minimal changes in the running code and performance maps.
But it has recently come to light after someone uploaded a 6K image from an STi 2, that the 6K is actually the same as the Prodrive UK map.

Both ECU would be a good upgrade for either a Pre Sept 94 WRX/WRX RA or any 1993-1996 UK Saloon/Wagon.
