Default TD04 to TD05 with no remap, afr graph too, comments ?

Hi everyone, after 3 weeks of not driving my scoob ( ) how glad am i to get behind the wheel again - but this time with some TD05 power!

To cut a long story short, ive swapped over my TD04 to a TD05 but i havnt had a remap yet (just fitted a walbro). I have a manual boost controller (apexi avc-d ) and a ecutek'd ecu (but for a TD04) and ive been gradually upping the boost.

For accurate monitoring ive got an innovate motorsports LC-1 and xd-16 all connected to my laptop - this evening, on 16-17 psi boost, foot to the floor in 2nd and 3rd gear ...well... its seems spot on to me ?????

It pulls like a trains too!!

Any comments anyone? can i crank it up another psi or so? also, knock link hasnt shown anything more than 1 green ??

here's the AFR graph..

wont be long before it goes all pear shaped as the fuel requirements for a td04 are not the same as for a td05 which flows a greater ammount of air.....

Besides you will not get the best out of the turbo without the remap

absolutely, i can understand that a remap would get the most out of the turbo, but the fuelling does look ok to me, dont you think?

Why would it go pear shaped in the future if its fuelling fine now with no knock?

Its not that i dont think a remap wouldnt benefit, its just im suprised to find the fuelling looks spot on and no knock what so ever on the knock link.

What about the afr graph? it looks pretty good to me for fuelling, im as suprised about this as anyone else, i thought it would be detting like crazy and afr's into the 12's and upwards.

If it looks ok and there is no det, then leave it. However, because you already have a tek3 ecu, it will only cost you around £300 to get a full remap.

2nd and 3rd are not really going to tell you anything.
You need to do a run in 4th (at least) to get a good indication of AFR.
It will run leaner in 4th/5th then it will in 2nd/3rd.

Is that because boost will be higher in 4th and 5th gear? (more load etc)
