Default mapping a power fc

after some advise,i have a 94 plate import which has its fair share of mods,
engine mods are
sti 8 bottom end(closed deck block etc)
fmic
apexi air filter
full decat exhaust
equel headers
parallel fuel mod with sx fuel reg(3bar)
vta breathers
light weight pullys and flywheel
pfr7b plugs
uprated fuel pump
tdo5 16g turbo(might be upgrading this to a 18g or 20g)
blitz id boost controller
440cc injectors
apexi s-afc2
mines ecu
as my car has the close ratio box in it it tops out at around 125mph,so high top end speeds or not for me.have been thinking of replacing the mines ecu with a power fc,at the moment it performs very well never showing any more than 8 knock on the s-afc,does seem to run a little rich on my afr gauge,
my questions are,i live in worcestershire and where is the best place to get it mapped?also what are 440cc injectors good for bhp wise,as i have fitted a blitz boost controller which comes with its own solenoid unit does this mean if i fit the power fc i would need to replace the factory map sensor(for the past year it has been set to 1.3 bar boost with no probs at all)just trying to see if im better off sticking with what i already have or buying the power fc and trying that.

AndyForrestPerformance
Jolly Green Monster - ECU Mapping
Zen Performance - Performance upgrade solutions for Japanese cars

These are 3 highly regarded mappers who deal with the Power Fc.
I would go for 550cc to give you a wider ability to map the ecu (without over stretching the injectors)but it all depends how mucg you want from the engine speak to any of the above and i'm sure they'll give you good advice

IMHO and 3 year's experience the abovt is exactly right.

There is one more specialist right on your doorstep at Welcome to the API website on the outskirts of Leamington Spa.
David has supplied and fitted them for ages now.

You must fit 550cc injectors, especially if you go 18 or 20g as I have.

My car has always been mapped by Andy Forrest, but all the above are very well respected Mappers and in much demand.

cheers all, anybody got a idea about replacing the map sensor,or is it made redundant when the power fc is fitted as i already have a blitz boost controller and solenoid fitted??didnt want to fit some 550cc injectors, bigger turbo.power fc and get someone to map it just to be told i need other things eg map sensor etc, anyone out there already with a power fc had to have a new map sensor fitted??????????

think i have decided to stick with my 16g turbo and 440cc injectors and fit the power fc to make the best of my mods, all i am after is a rock soild 350bhp and the 16g and 440cc injectors should be fine so i have been told.

I think that your year of car has a map sensor that is rated to 1.1 bar?

The later cars, 97 onwards have a 1.8bar? map sensor I believe, so dont need the apexi kit that your car does.

Do a search as you may be able to use a later map sensor without the cost of the apexi version.

If that is controlling the boost for you then you can turn off the boost control function on the Power FC.
