Have a chance of buying a apexi power fc ecu v5 gc8f. Would anybody know if this is a direct replacement for the standard ecu, and if so is it a case of replacing the ecu and getting it remapped. My scooby is a 98 uk model, would this be compatible? Any help on this would be spot on

You need to make sure you get the right one - They are model specific - Phase 1/1.5/2

If your car is a UK MY98 Phase 1.5, then you just need to swap cam and crank signal wires and move the fuel pump signal wire, IIRC

 

Cheers for that mate, just been told I need version 3/4 as 5 is for the later one's and does'nt fit.GUTTERED
