HELP my check engine has lit
I recently took it upom myself to tidy up my engine bay and neatly tie back and make my pipework safe ,but on restarting the car my check engine light has lit.I thought my throttle cable was a bit on the slack side so i have taken up the slack and since then the light shone,my car is running as sweet as ever but i have the check light lit permanently. Can anyone give me some advice thanx to those who do HAMMER..... Not sure this should be posted in the Members gallery,
I assuming it's a classic.
My understanding was that there should be a bit of slack in the cable and you've proberly upset the sensor that monitors this.
Do a ECU check, this involves plugging the two black connectors under the stearwheel together and counting how many times the check engine light flashes.
Have a look here for more information:

Nice car by the way and welcome to scoobynet, Nice wheels on the scoob, I used to have T12's myself and I still love love them. I had to sell as the wouldn't fit over the brembo's I fitted.
Ps: You've got the fastest colour
