Hi I have found a very small amount of silver swarf on my dipstick it is really very small and can only really notice its there in the sunlight when the engine oil is cold, it runs and drives ok with no big ends knocking etc, any one else have this as i cannot remember if my other scooby had it or not.

forgot to say is a 95 wrx with 60 k on clock.

 

I would drain the oil and remove the filter for inspection. Cut the filter open and check the outer chamber for debris on the element.

hi thanks, will check tmrw just got back from a track eveneing at Snetterton 2 x 20 mins flat out i think if it was serious then it should have failed then. but diddnt miss a beat or make any weird noises.
