Default turbo question

does anyone know if a td06 turbo will fit on a 2004 wrx,and will it offer any performance increase?

or am i better off just getting a td05?

thanks in advance for any advice

Erm, yes it will fit mate, but that's one hell of a turbo to upgrade to!
And it will need quite a few other mods to make it work properly.
What are your power goals? If you just want a quick road car, for not a lot of money, forget the td06. A VF22/23/24/28/29/34/35 will have excellent spool up speeds and produce anywhere from 320-350bhp when mapped.
Have a look at the td05 range aswell.

i will give the td06 a miss then,$220 does not look quite as appealing now if the car needs major mods to accomodate it.
at present i have got a standard 04 wrx and i am going to gradually mod it if i got a td05 would i just need a remap and ngk7 plugs to start with?

Tony.... fit either a td05 16g like mine,or if you are looking for up to 360bhp ish then go for a hybrid 18g version, you will want a full decat if not already done, uprated fuel pump and poss a fpr..... not sure what injectors your car has either? a better tmic sti version 8 are good,or the expence of a front mount.... and an ecutek remap to use your existing ecu.
Ideally you want to fit all the mods you need in one go and remap it once..... if you fit just the turbo and remap you will need to upgrade other bits and then remap again... extra cost you could do without.

What power figures are you looking for?

mart....cant be arsed with all that, will be better off chopping it in for a ppp'd sti sooner than i had planned(well once me busted hand is better and i can get back to work earning money again)it will give me a better starting point for modding i reckon
