Default V5 RA stalling.....HELP

Trying to fix my buddies V5 RA motor.....here's the problem...

We think we have it narrowed down to the MAF but any ideas would be sweet.

Car starts up with and without the MAF plugged in BUT...

With the MAF plugged in car will idle until it reaches operating temp then dies. If you try and put the throttle in at all the car dies........

With the MAF unplugged the car will idle until it reaches operating temp then dies BUT you can push the throttle in and car revs freely HOWEVER because the check engine light is on car is in limp mode so when driving it's not possible to get past around 3500rpms without the cut.

Any ideas? We are completely stumped.......

What is stock fuel pressure at idle supposed to be?
Could a faulty temp sensor cause any of these problems?
