broken boot pull - newage
Parked the car this morning, pulled the lever inside the car to open the boot - and nothing!!
Went out and opened with the key no probs, however, when I looked in the bootlid to see if the cable had snapped, couldn't really see anything?? Am I missing something??
Can anyone help??
Cheers
Mike

hi mike, i had same probs with mine. have a look at lock inside boot. on mine there is a latch that moves up and down with a directional arrow on the lock i have just been out to the car to have a look. the 1 position dis-engages the boot pull from inside the car. ( hope this helps).

I must admit I found the latch by total accident. Flicked it over and thought nothing of it until I went to open boot a few weeks later then it suddenly dawned on me.
Nearly as amusing as someone who delocked their boot and knocked the latch.

I leave mine set to open boot with key only. This is more secure as someone breaking into car still can't get into boot easily. I do realise that they could get an arm through the armrest hole if they were determined.
