Default HKS ssqv piccies

Guys,

Just bought a HKS ssqv from a fellow scoobynet member for my 93 WRX.

only prob is fitting the damn thing! Ive got a Forge VTA so I know how to fit it, im just having probs where to fit it....its a bit larger than the forge.

i know im gonna get a few "best place is in the bin for it" comments

This is with a front mount intercooler, not sure if it will help...but its still a early WRX

oh i see, i used to have that setup before i got the front mount, it did fit but was very tight, u may have to spin the dump valve round on the flange to stop it rubbing the intercooler

I found this pic on the internet, doesnt show the mountings but might give you an idea.

Thanks Bruce,

I think ill have to fit it by the brake fluid thingy as the bottom flange ( no laughing ) is bigger than the subaru flange from the intercooler pipe

thinking about it,

im gonna have to use a piece of long silicone pipe to come off the original re-circ d/v pipe and go around the turbo heat shield and fit the ssqv by the brake fluid thing.

Anyone know if some sort of engine hose would suitable as I know from experience that off cuts of silicone hose are £££.

As before and pics of a ssqv on an early classic would be apprieciated

I'd imagine a poke around a breakers yard might give you a long water/radiator tube that will do.
