Hello I have a my94 uk turbo was looking at putting a z4 ecu in it for more power but was just wondering if anyone could tell me whether fitting a z4ecu will limit my top speed to 112mph, if so would a 6k ecu be a better option cheers

yes the z4 would be limited to 112mph, i think (not sure though) the 6k ecu was from a v2 sti and i dont think its limited to 112mph.
both are very similar ecu's and a good swap to fit straight into the uk pre96,a better option in my opinion would be to keep your uk ecu and fit a chip from polar performance.
try a search to see how highly rated they are

no, the ecu wont restrict u to 112mph, just plug and play, only thing is im not too sure wether jap ecu,s are completely compatible with uk cars - do sum research first, but if u can use the ecu u will be gaining around 40 bhp so well worthwhile.

Z4 and 6K will limit a UK car to 112mph
Z4 is slightly better then a UK map as runs slightly more boost (12.7psi rather then 11.47psi) and a better fuel/ignition map.
6K is effectivley the Prodrive Performance Upgrade map that was fitted on UK cars and is based on a Z4 but runs 13.64psi.
This will also limit to 112mph, whereas the official prodrive map raised this to 175mph.

both Z4 and 6K should only be run on 97RON or higher (which was Prodrive's Recommendation at the time)
