Hi all,
just a couple of questions.
here's a pic of my ecu. What i need to know is what is this purple and white wire do as you can see it has been choped off!!!!!
Also can i get this ecu remapped or do i need to replace it with an apexi fc or similar?

doesn't appear to be part of the loom. Probably had a fuel cut defender of some other device hooked in at some point.

Oh! and yes you can 'rework' this ECU in several ways...see my website PolarPerformance ....

 

would it be best to remove it completly incase it shorts something out as it is still attached to the loom?
i was thinking of getting an apexi, can you tune these?

Well its out now! car still works lol
under the white sticker was a little box with a resistor thing in it. i can only think it was used for a gauge or somthing?

 

look up what pins it was connected too

Either fuel cut defender as said, or speed delimiter.. possibly looks to be connected to B95 11..(speedo) but difficult to tell for sure from picture.
