hi guys please view my scooby and look at engine pic do you know what make of air filter i have its silver in colour but no markings !
also i dont like how its sits right along side of engine ! most peoples are angled towards the inner wing do i simply just remove the elbow shaped pipe and fit maf direct to res box ? or have 2 buy some pipe and re-route.
i removed the filter the other day and fitted a std airbox did a reset but car feels bit sluggish and dumpvalve sounds s**t. so will be taking that off again ! but want to re-route my filter and clean iit f i can clean that sort of filter? or if that is s**t i will replace

Below is a pic of mine with an Apexi filter fitted which does away with the elbow and resonator(?) box. Angles it away from the engine which I think is what you're after. I believe other kits will also do this.

your set up is what i am after on mine the angled effect or could i buy a decent filter and re-route plus also run a cold feed from the pipe that is located in inner wing
how much is the apexi kit ?
also do scoobs not need the resonator box then ?

 

Think i paid about £100 for mine (about 4years ago)and it's been fine for that time.
Cold feed from the wing could just be some ducting from B&Q.
I'd guess the resonator box is just to keep the noise down as mine is quite loud without it(and you can hear the standar recirc valve)
