Hi Guys,

Yesterday been driving my 'L' WRX quite abit, she was driving perfect, pulling through all the gears ect ect, get back to my house, just reversing up to my door, and it just cut out, thought i must of stalled or something, so try to start it up again, and it was just turning over but not firing, left it 30mins, tried again and it started but the revs were well low and it cut out again after about 20secs, tried again and give it abit gas, but the exact same happened again, cut off after about 20-30 secs!
Any ideas as to what this could be? any help would be great!

Cheers Tom

What temperature was the car running at?. Sounds as though you have lost compression, so possible blown head gasket.

Try checking for an error code on the cel light, i had a similar problem once, turned out to be a code 21 which was the coolant temp sensor.

the temp was fine, never seen the temp gauge go over half way and yesterday was no different. it was just a sudden loss of power, then would not start again after that. Checked all connections, wires ect today, and cant see anything out of place. Could it be the fuel pump has packed in? checked all the tell tale signs for a blown head, and nothing points towards that. How would i check fault codes?

Thanks for the help guys!

Just checked and there doesnt seem the any noise at all coming from the pump when the ignition is switched on, so im pretty certain the fuel pump is screwed, any quick and easy way to find out 100% if this is the problem?
