Default Have i been ripped off?

Ordered a walbro fuel pump form a well known supplier, wont mention their name incase im wrong. Its got Sytec on the box and ITP 160 motorsport upgrade on the box, warranty and instructions mention the name Glencoe ltd. No mention of Walbro anywhere, though on their websie they say it is a walbro and this pump has the internals, have i been ripped off?

I don't know the answer to this but you could always politely voice your concerns to the supplier and perhaps they will clarify it with you. It might be a simple mistake they are unaware of

An ITP160 sounds correct for a classic.

Look on the body of the pump itself as mentioned earlier. It should read Walbro on it. The one I have is a GSS341 which is a 255lph high pressure pump.

For me it's probably worse......

I wanted a Walbro pump !

I phone Alyn at AS Performance for a walbro pump and I describe in detail the Sytec pump I have in front of me.

It's OK he says it's actually a Walbro pump and no need to spend any more money.... but no, I don't believe him and order a "walbro" from him

It comes and it's exactly the same !!!

Alyn very kindly takes his pump back and loses money on postage and time spent on the phone to me

Another lesson learnt LOL
