Default changing td05 casing for front enrty

is it a simple job to change casings on the turbo can buy a front entry casing on ebay is it a straight swop over?

there is a big fu@k off circlip that holds it on and a couple of bolts for wastegate actuator

it would work out cheaper to convert your casing yourself,i have done mine recently.

cut the end of the snorkel off about 10mm below the hose stop point,then cut the remainder of the snorkel off flush with the compressor housing.
then just get the piece the hose goes on welded to the housing,it cost me £20 to get the turbo welded.

do you still need to take off casing or can i block off hole and do it still on

best to do it off, i cut mine off and my mate welded it on for free

defo take it off to get welded,you dont want to get filings in turbo when cutting or risk damaging seals/cover from welding heat
