Would this turbo last with ALS?

Anyone done it?

No turbos last with ALS do they? Unless they get regular rebuilds.

If in short bursts i thought most turbos would be OK. Unless you're meaning full time.

Having run a similar-to ALS for a few months now permanent. I can say even the hardiest of rally nerds would tire of it. I did 120 miles yesterday and my ears are still ringing. But i did smile most the way.

als

i think it will kill any turbo but like said it depends on how much you use it and how aggresive its set

we are also about to find out how long a gt30r lasts with als (motec)

I'm not sure about that particular type of turbo, but i think 1000 miles is to be expected from a turbo with ALS, then reconditioned, due to the extra stresses on the bearings.

Thats not gospel btw, just heard something from a guy that knew a mate that saw someone, who owned a........ etc

I'm sure this is a general consensus for competition cars though. It depends on how your car is used, a rally car will have a lot more ALS use due to tight twisty roads, and lots of gear changes, unless you live out in the sticks.

It must be able to be switched off with the right ECU settings though, i'd have thought.
