Default Boost guage - where to wire it in at?

fitted the boost gauge easily enough and tee'd the vaccum hose no problem, just a bit unsure where to wire the the 2 wires to? Ive done a search and people say cig lighter or cd player or fog light etc, but what i need is a good description of exactly which wire to cut into and how to get at it. So if I need to wire it to my fog light how do I find and get at it? what color wire am I looking for? Looking for the easiest possable way.....hope the dash doesnt have to come to bits?

Cheers in advance

Hi mate, i did my wire connections at radio connector you need a test light to do the job. First remove the radio but leave it plugged in, then connect your test light to a good earth check this by turning on ignition and test one of the red power leads at that connector, test light should light up then check one at a time, one of the wires becomes live when you turn on your head lights when you find it check it by turning lights on and off, the test light should do the same thing, then connect your positive to that wire and the other wire simple goes to an earth (brown wire) job done.
I can't remember what color the wires are without removing my radio to have a look.
Hope this helps if you don't have a test light i will go and take my radio out if need be.
Good luck. Mo.

Jonesy,
right mate i have taken my radio out and this is what you need to do:

On the back of the radio unit there are three plugs one on top of the other they are:

TOP = CD CHANGER
MIDDLE= SPEAKER CONNECTOR
BOTTOM= POWER & EARTH CONNECTOR

The one you need is the lower one, there should be 5 wires in that connector wire colors are: top row blue wire and red wire and the rest are not used then bottom row is: yellow, grey and brown and the other pin is not used.
You require the brown wire on the bottom row for your earth and the grey wire on the bottom row for your live.

Job done now you can see what boost is doing at nite
If you need any more help mate just send me a pm.
Good luck. Mo.
