Default boost solenoids

hi

just a quick question, are boost solenoids car and model specific? i.e if you have an sti do you have to have a certain solenoid specially for sti's wrx's etc etc.

i have decided to replace mine as it is my last port of call for a slight boost problem, gonna replace it and go from there.

ive also heard of 3 port boost solenoids, are these also specific to certain cars and if i can fit one to my94 sti version 1, will i gain any benefit from having 3 port instead of 2 port.

any help greatfully appreciated.

no.. there is 2port or 3port, 3port were fitted to the phase 1 93~96.. rest 2port..

the solenoid on your car will be a 3port.. you can confirm by counting the ports..
