Default Petrol smell

Recently my car has started to smell of petrol on start up, doesnt seem to be any leaks anywhere tho!
Any ideas?

Mine the same. Has started over the past few weeks. I did see a small puddle of fuel beneath the rear drivers side of the engine bay, but only once. My conclusion is that the fuel evaporates before it hits the floor, especially with a warm engine. I'm 95% sure that a seal has perished on the rear drivers side injector. Gonna try a replacement tomorrow.

To test: Remove the coils from a cold engine and crack it over for 10 or 20 seconds. Any leaks should show more easily.

i know its not the same car and it might sound b******* but have you got air con my mates air con pipe in the engine bay split and all you could smell was petrol probably wrong but just a thought

Newage with ppp?

Then check fuel pump seals.
