I've recently changed the ecu in my scooby, (i've swapped it for a prodrive one). The prodrive ecu came with the key from the car it originally came out of, so I swapped the actual key part over so it had my key but the chip from the prodrive car, but it didn't work. I've read a thread on here saying that once you change the ecu you need to get your key reprogrammed? The fella I bought the prodrive ecu from said that if I sent back the prodrive key and the prodrive ecu back to him then he would reprogram them, but it's my understanding that it will only work if I send back my original key and the prodrive ecu? Am I correct?
