Hello guys!
Someone here in Austria wants to build a 700bhp classic!
2,5 cdb
uprated internals!?
GT35R
Dont know what he gonna do with the drivetrain..
Do you think it's possible to get 700bhp on an 2,5l CDB?
What should be done with the engine that it stands 700bhp?
what about the revs? how much is possible?
Money is not the problem I think!
Which drivetrain stands that amount of power!
I dont think it will work.. what do you think about this project?!
if that works..

firstly which block are you referring to as the 2.5 CDB?
the EJ257 is semi cdb, the ej25 is open deck..
drivetrain you would need to look at straight cut gearset or might get away with a 6speed for while.
uprated internals a must.. head studs etc etc.. and a GT35R won't flow enough air to make 700bhp.

Would it be a 2.5 Semi that has been made into a closed deck maybe ?? Think Ive heard of issues trying to do that. Or could they have made a closed deck 2.5 with an EJ22T ?

There are various companies offering fully closed deck 2.5 blocks which start out as semi closed deck or open. They use various methods to close the deck TRP use this method amongst others

oh sorry i didn't know that there is no 2,5 CDB.. i think it would be a semi CDB! He said:
6-speed gearbox (straight cut gearset)
cosworth conrods
forged pistons
redline: 8500-9000 rpm
race fuel, 2bar boost, single throttle valve (hope thats the right name for it
), methyl-alcohol injection, compression-ratio:7.8
uprated half-axis (the shafts from the diff to the hub - hope thats the correct name
)
thats all i know for the moment!
